About Safiyyah
Hi! I’m a medical student at King’s College London, currently intercalating in Global Health. I’ve been tutoring for over 4 years and specialise in GCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Geography. I also support A-Level students in Biology and Chemistry. I’ve delivered lessons for GCSE and A-Level summer schools and worked with students from a wide range of backgrounds—including both comprehensive and selective grammar schools. This means I’m confident adapting lessons to suit different learning styles and levels, from students aiming to secure a pass to those pushing for top grades. I chose Biology, Chemistry, and Geography at A-Level (achieving A*A A) and love helping students tackle tricky topics, master exam technique, and gain confidence in their ability. Lessons are structured, engaging and fully tailored—whether you want to fill knowledge gaps, improve essay writing, or boost exam performance. I tutor online using Zoom and interactive tools. My lessons are fully tailored to the individual student—whether you need help understanding key content, improving your exam technique, or boosting your confidence. Each session is structured and purposeful: 1) We begin with a quick review of prior knowledge to build strong foundations. 2) Then we break down the topic clearly using diagrams, case studies, and step-by-step explanations. 3) We apply the knowledge through short answer and exam-style questions, focusing on how to structure 6- and 9-mark answers effectively. 4) Every lesson ends with a quick recap and next steps for independent revision. I regularly use: - Past papers and exam board mark schemes (AQA, Edexcel, OCR) - Model answers and sentence starters to improve writing - Case study revision tools for Rio, Nigeria, urban change, coastal erosion, and more - Interactive tools like whiteboards, visuals, and maps to support different learning styles My aim is always to make Geography less overwhelming and more accessible. I help students feel exam-ready and confident.
