About Matthew

I have been a musician for over 15 years and over that time I've played with groups all over the country and earned two degrees, my Bachelor of Music Performance from Stetson University and my Master of Music from the Yale School of Music. I have experience working with students of all ages, from as young as 6 to students in their 70s. Whether you're new to music or want to get better at your craft, I'll work with your interests and learning style to achieve your goals and understand the joy that comes from making music. As well as striving for your success, I also aim for strong communication both in and out of lessons so that you have a good understanding of the material and any logistical things get resolved quickly.

About the lesson

During my time playing trombone, I have had the honor to learn from some of the greats in the industry, and I strive to pass that information on to you. Regardless of your age or experience, I will work with you so that you understand what we talk about and see progress in yourself. At the end of every lesson, you'll get an email describing what we talked about and what to work on for next time. For any questions about rates, what I offer, or to set up a trial lesson, feel free to contact me at (concealed information) or (concealed information)

Matthew is an amazing piano teacher! He teaches my two sons (they have different strengths and personalities), and they both have made very noticeable progress.
Matthew is simply wonderful. He's caring, intuitive, professional, responsible, and such a bright piano teacher who keeps my sons engaged, supports and challenges them to continue to become better musicians !
