About Sebastien

I obtained my S baccalaureate specialty maths in 2019 at the Lycée International de Ferney-Voltaire. With the British option, I got the average of 17.87.

I then obtained a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at EPFL (Lausanne) in 2022, finishing top of my class with an average of 5.61/6. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Energy at Oxford University.

My 10 years of scouting, associations and sport have allowed me to develop an easy social bond with my peers. I like to maintain a relationship of trust with my students who will be able to communicate without fear or pressure.

I was employed for two years by EPFL as a student assistant to help students 4-8 hours per week in post-baccalaureate level engineering courses. In addition, during my bachelor's degree, I followed three high school students for a semester in maths.

My method during each session is a review of the course to see if the student has understood (and not learned!) the concepts covered, followed by an application of the concepts through exercises. I have found that by varying the share of exercises and lessons, this method works just as well for comfortable students who want consolidation as for those for who science is not their strong point.
