About Nikhil

Who I Am
I am Nikhil Kumar, a dedicated mathematics teacher in one of the prominent secondary schools in Wellington. My background includes serving as a dean for Year 12 and 13 students in Fiji, where I was commended for my performance. I also coach a school sports team, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and discipline.

Why I Want to Teach
Teaching is my passion because it allows me to make a tangible difference in students' lives. I believe in the power of education to transform futures, and I am committed to helping students overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. My goal is to simplify complex mathematical concepts and make learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

I focus on making mathematics both engaging and accessible. My approach is to simplify complex concepts, breaking them down into manageable steps. I emphasize practical applications and problem-solving techniques, ensuring that students can see the relevance of what they are learning. I have been tutoring for 5 years and 1 0 years of teaching mathematics in a classroom. Over the years, I have developed a strong understanding of student needs and the most effective strategies to help them succeed.

My lessons cater to students from Year 7 to Year 13, mostly covering Levels 1-3 of the NCEA curriculum. I aim to help students of varying abilities, from those who are struggling with basic concepts to those who are preparing for advanced examinations.
