About Preetha

I have 22 years of experience and have kept up with all the latest trends for you teenagers.....always learning!
I have set examinations for the Department of Education and have been Team Leader on many occasions., thus guide you on what to expect from these stressful things....
I teach without being boring and understand the uniqueness of YOU. So to this end, I adapt and teach in a manner that you would like me, to without being harsh, and re-teaching if YOU need- using different techniques so that you are able to remember and apply concepts not only in examinations but real life too ( I mean - let's be real - we can't always be calculating - Maths and Science - it's all around us) - I teach you how to see this!

About the lesson

My 22 years of teaching in Mathematics Grade 8 -12 and Physical Science Grade 10-12 have made my content knowledge stronger than most.
I answer all learner's questions and try to explain concepts in different ways because all learner's are unique.
My lessons are based on content and exam preparation as well as how to adapt concepts learnt into real life experiences.
I can teach in English but speak Hindi and Afrikaans fluently as well thus am adaptable.
I use MsTeams and animations with my own explanations. I know that sometimes using the Meta world is scary so I explain how best to take advantage of the technology we have as well.
I basically want learners to have fun while learning so I pay attention to learner's difficulties in grasping concepts, and change methodology of teaching as per learner's needs and keep their attention and focus for the sessions.
Follow ups and relevant previous knowledge is also considered when teaching and will re-teach concepts forgotten to strengthen concepts that need to learn.
Goal setting is important and I ask my learners to create a vision board with their goals so we can always know what we are working towards.....Dream big!
