About Arman

Teaching Mathematics has been my passion sinceI was an undergraduate student. I started Math tutoring at that time and since then, I added to my teaching experience by teaching at different high schools and also added to my Mathematical knowledge by pursuing higher degrees in Mathematics.

I obtained my Bachelor and Master's degrees in Mathematics at Sharif University of Technology and consequently, immigrated to Canada as a PhD student of Mathematics at UBC. I taught two Calculus courses as instructor at UBC, each of those classes having more than 70 students. Gaining this valuable teaching experience along with other experiences, enabled me to gain the sessional instructor job at Columbia College in 2014. After receiving positive feedback from other instructor who observed my classes and also positive student evaluations, I was promoted to a full-time, regularized instructor position at Columbia College in 2017. I have taught each of the first year and second year university transfer courses at least three times during the years of my teaching at Columbia College.

I also taught at high school program in 2015-2016 in addition to teaching at university level.

About the lesson

Hello, my name is Arman. I am a PhD holder in Mathematics from UBC. I am also a full time college professor in Vancouver, BC where I have been teaching first year and second year university Math courses for more than 10 years. I also have teaching experience in high school in Vancouver.

My method of teaching is concept-based. No matter how weak or strong your Math background is, I will make sure you have all the necessary knowledge in order to fully understand different aspects of the relevant concept. I will make sure to include basic and simple examples that can help you understand the subject and gradually we will get into harder examples.

My notes are organized, easy to follow, and comprehensive and will include all you need in order to review what we have covered during the session later. I usually include some similar exercises as well for further practice.
