About Marwan

Hi, I’m Marwan, a Mechanical Engineering student at United Arab Emirates University on a full-ride scholarship.

I achieved a perfect SAT Math score on my first attempt, earned an A* in IGCSE Mathematics, scored a 4 in AP Calculus BC with a 5 on the AB subscore, and recently earned an A in advanced university mathematics / Partial Differential Equations.

I tutor school math, IGCSE/GCSE Math, Digital SAT Math, and AP Calculus AB/BC. My teaching style is clear, patient, and structured. I focus on helping students understand the logic behind each method instead of memorizing steps blindly.

I also have experience teaching robotics and coding, which helped me develop a practical and patient teaching style for explaining technical concepts. I can teach in English or Arabic depending on the student’s preference.

About the lesson

My math lessons are focused, practical, and exam-oriented. I teach school math, IGCSE/GCSE Math, Digital SAT Math, and AP Calculus AB/BC. My goal is to help students understand the method clearly, improve accuracy, and become more confident when solving exam-style questions.

A typical lesson is 60 minutes. In the first session, I assess the student’s current level, target grade or score, exam date, and main weak areas. From there, I create a focused plan instead of wasting time on topics the student already knows.

Each lesson usually includes a clear explanation of the topic, guided examples, targeted practice, timed questions, and mistake review. I focus strongly on identifying why mistakes happen, because many students lose marks from small algebra errors, weak problem setup, poor timing, or not recognizing question patterns.

For SAT Math, I focus on high-yield topics, Desmos calculator strategies, timing, and avoiding careless mistakes. For IGCSE/GCSE Math, I cover algebra, functions, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and exam-style problem solving. For AP Calculus AB/BC, I cover limits, derivatives, integrals, applications of calculus, differential equations, and series where needed.

Between lessons, I can assign specific practice questions based on the student’s weak areas. My lessons are best suited for middle school and high school students who want clearer explanations, stronger fundamentals, better exam technique, and a structured plan to improve.
