About Ellie
As a teacher I am patient, understanding and compassionate, values I feel are pertinent throughout the stress of exam season!
I have always had a passion for biology but I also thoroughly understand how difficult it can be to grasp the intricate mechanisms and sophisticated terminology.
Due to my personal passion for biology, I am currently building my career in medical research, a field I feel helps me combine curiosity and practised scientific knowledge.
In my free time I enjoy long family beach walks with our dog, sports and dancing!

I use a range of learning methods with a focus on spaced repetition. I'm an advocate for the 'explain it to me' technique, which involves my students teaching me new concepts to highlight any potential knowledge gaps. I utilise past papers to shape learning and, most importantly, I understand the importance of adaptability in teaching as every student learns in their own way.
