About Majed
Hi, I’m Majed. I’m an experienced educator with a passion for helping students who need clear guidance, steady support and someone who genuinely understands how they learn. I hold a Master’s in Allied School Psychology, I work as a Learning Diversity Leader, and I’ve previously taught as a senior VCE English and Humanities teacher. Across my career, I’ve supported a wide range of learners — from students who need foundational literacy and numeracy help to senior students working through VCE VM/VPC. What sets my approach apart is that I look at the whole student. I take time to understand their learning style, their strengths, and what’s getting in the way. My teaching is calm, structured and personalized, and I focus on building confidence as much as academic skills. I want students to feel capable, motivated and proud of their progress. I also work closely with families, offering practical strategies and clear communication so that everyone feels supported. My goal is long-term growth — not just quick fixes — and I bring professionalism, patience and high expectations to every session. My Approach to Tutoring
I teach in a way that’s clear, simple, and tailored to each student. I start by understanding what they already know, what they’re struggling with, and how they learn best. I break things down step-by-step, explain things in a way that actually makes sense, and focus on building confidence as much as skills.
I use explicit instruction, modelling, guided practice, and real examples. I also support students with organisation, motivation and executive functioning — especially those who find school overwhelming or who need more structure. My sessions are calm, patient and consistent, and I use evidence-based strategies that work for diverse learners.
I don’t just tutor the student; I work with the whole family. I keep parents updated, suggest practical strategies for home, and help create routines that support learning. If a student needs a plan, I build one. If they need behaviour or engagement support, I guide families through it. My goal is long-term progress, not just getting through homework. I assist in making the education journey make sense for parents.
Most lessons run for 60 minutes, which gives us time to teach, practise and review properly. Session length can be adjusted if needed.
I hold a Master’s in Allied School Psychology, I’m a Learning Diversity Leader, and I’ve been a senior VCE English and Humanities teacher. I’ve worked across primary and secondary settings, supporting a wide range of learners in literacy, numeracy, study skills, behaviour support, and VCE VM/VPC.
