About Bolu
Human Geography graduate who is currently studying a Masters in Sustainable Planning and Transport. I currently tutor English and Maths to students in Year 1,3,6& 8. Having previously worked as TA, I understand the importance of taking a different approach to children’s learning. This is why I’d like to reach out and potentially help more students achieve good results while truly enjoying and understanding the work in front of them.

Having been tutoring young students for the past year, I’ve developed ways of ensuring each lesson feels fresh and different from school. I firstly begin with a quick little game related to the lesson, which students can earn short breaks or one less question in their homework. We then get to the main portion of the lesson where I either go over something they are struggling with at school or I teach them new content. Lessons end with us going over the previous homework and setting the next one. Lessons are typically 1 hour and 20 minutes long. I only charge for the hour because the extra 20 minutes are so the transition periods between parts of the lesson do not impact the time spent actually learning. Lessons can be delivered online or in person depending on the distance. I keep folders to keep track of the lessons, parents can ask for a regular report or progress chart.
