About Leah
Hello prospective student!
Studying for exams, writing essays, and school life in general, can be stressful. There are a lot of plates to spin simultaneously and that’s where I come in! I can help you learn new terminology, understand complex theories, and take your knowledge about society and crime and apply it to the real world. This is what will get you the good grades you deserve, and the opportunities you’re aspiring for in the future.
I have worked in the Exams Team at the University of Bristol so I understand how marking criteria are formulated and what is expected of a student in an academic setting.

Everyone’s learning styles are different and it’s important we figure out what works best for you early on, so you can get the most out of our lessons. Whether that’s explaining things verbally, or drawing (literally!) timelines, prompts or other visual material.
Virtual lessons only - ranging from 30 minutes to longer chunks of time e.g. a weekend afternoon to focus on a specific project or review a piece of work before the approaching deadline.
I’ve led study groups in the past, and also acted as a Mentor to first-year students in University. I have a BSc in Criminology (2:1) and a MRes in Criminology also (Distinction) - both from top, Russell group universities in the UK.
