About Conin
I struggled in school with learning. I hated studying and wondered what was different about me. I realised in university that I was both being taught wrong and I was also studying incorrectly. I learned a lot about the psychology of learning and the best teaching techniques based on science. I began teaching during my undergraduate. Tutoring English was studying abroad in Germany.
The "learning about learning" I had done prior helped me really connect with my students. I improved my techniques and had an opportunity to teach undergraduate Sociology labs during my masters. Here I learned how to get those who struggled to engage more and helped everyone achieve their potential in the class.
I want to make your learning experience about you, rather than just telling you information and hoping you understand (we all know some teachers like this).

Do you know every person has there own way of learning? Do you know what is yours? I try to teach in ways that help you learn best and give you the best opportunities.
My background in Psychology has allowed me to find the best strategies to teach based on your own individual learning style.
I enjoy teaching children above 8 years of age and also adults at any level of their learning journey. I offer classes from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Experience and Qualifications:
- I am a native English speaker from Ireland.
- I have a BSc in Psychology and an MA in Sociology (Applied Social Research).
- I have taught undergraduate quantitative research method labs in university in Ireland.c
- I have over 2 years of tutoring experience in a wide range of subjects. I have tutored English to German university students as well as in a 1to1 setting with non-native children.
- I have experience teaching A-level Psychology and Sociology.
- Leaving cert level Biology tutoring experience
