About Maria
My name is Maria Torres I am a Dual Language teacher. I have my masters in Bilingual and ESL instruction and curriculum. I have been teaching for 10 years and I tuly love what I do. I work for a school district that has implemented a Dual Language program that will grant students a seal of biliteracy upon graduating high school. I have had extensive training in biliteracy and I have 10 years of experience teaching students the skills of listening, speaking, writing, and reading in Spanish and English. I am excited to get to know you and work with you to help you reach your Spanish or English goals.

I believe that in order to learn any language you must emerge yourself in that language and enjoy the process. One of the best methods of learning a langauge is by listening and applying it to your everyday life. One of my favorite methods of teaching how to speak and listen to Spanish or English is through guided conversation. As that emerges the components of reading and writing will follow. My lessons will be based on your individual needs, and I will differniate my lessons to meet your personalized needs.
