About Cassidy

With over 18 years of experience, I help school students, college learners, and working professionals learn drums in a simple and structured way. My teaching style is positive, clear, and supportive. I believe that strong technique and consistent practice lead to confident playing. Students learn stick grip, timing, rhythm patterns, coordination, reading notation, and musical expression.

I use demonstrations, guided practice, and creative routines to build strong skills. I also teach subjects like rhythm theory, music fundamentals, ear development, and performance planning. These topics help students understand the full structure of music. My unique skill is encouraging students to explore creativity while still building solid technique. My goal is to help each learner become confident, expressive, and well-prepared in their musical journey.

About the lesson

My drum teaching methodology is rooted in Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility. Communication allows me to understand the student’s goals, learning style, and previous experience. I explain topics clearly and encourage questions so students feel comfortable and involved in the learning process.

Creativity makes learning drums enjoyable. I ask students to build grooves, improvise rhythms, and explore different drum patterns. They also play along with different styles of music, helping them understand timing and musical interaction. Creative learning helps students develop strong rhythm skills and enjoy every lesson.

Flexibility helps me support each student’s pace. I adjust the difficulty of exercises based on their progress. If a student needs patience, I break down steps into simple parts. If they learn quickly, I challenge them with more advanced material. I also change teaching methods depending on how the student learns best.

Other than drums, I teach rhythm development and basic theory. My goal is to guide students through a flexible, creative, and clear learning experience.
