About Layla
As a singing tutor with over 2 years of experience and a BM in Choral Conducting (Vocal Emphasis), I specialize in studio-focused vocal training. My background bridges structured vocal technique and modern music production. I prepare singers specifically for recording sessions. Studio performance requires control and awareness. I teach styles such as Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Electronic music. Students learn microphone positioning and vocal consistency. I introduce compression concepts in a singer-friendly way. Auto-tune awareness is part of healthy studio singing. Harmony stacking and vocal layering are practiced regularly. I also guide singers in working efficiently with producers. I’ve worked with school students, emerging artists, and adult vocalists seeking commercial releases. Progress is intentional. My goal is to build confident technique, studio readiness, and expressive vocal artistry.

My teaching approach is built on patience, structure, and encouragement. I help singers understand their voice so they can use it with confidence and ease. Every lesson focuses on healthy vocal habits, starting with breath support and posture. We then work on vocal resonance and projection to improve clarity and strength. Tone shaping helps singers control brightness, warmth, and balance in their sound. I guide students through different vocal qualities such as chest voice, head voice, mixed voice, and belting in a safe and supported way. Soloists in training receive focused guidance to refine technique and control. Adult beginners are supported step by step, without pressure. Lessons are adjusted to match each student’s pace and goals. I believe learning should feel supportive and motivating. Mistakes are treated as part of the process. Progress is steady and realistic. My aim is to help singers feel confident in their voice. Together, we unlock vocal potential and build a strong foundation for expressive singing.
