About Алёна
My very first student was a little girl who couldn't read. I helped her put the characters together so that the alphabet would suddenly make sense. Her enlightened face made me realize how badly I wanted other people to feel happy about what they were capable of. Thus, my teaching journey began. I came up with one single rule based on my own experience of being self-conscious and insecure. Here it goes: mistakes are natural, you won`t really succeed unless you make some. For many years now I've heard things like 'I can't believe I'm able to talk', 'I do think I'm making progress', 'turns out it's not that hard', 'it's clear you were taught to teach'. Last one is wrong, though. I major in translation and interpreting whilst tutoring technique is something I worked out on my own. I think it shows true dedication to the job I`m so passionate about.

I`ve been an English tutor for over 6 years now, teaching both individuals and groups of all possible ages and levels. Throughout my experience, I`ve elaborated a special 'put it simply' technique that implies there is no such thing as tough grammar and vocabulary. My students don`t learn any intricate rules, yet they operate the basics and do it artfully. I never make my students memorize words but they manage to use plenty as we practise and talk regularly, enjoying 'no pressure' vibes. A typical lesson plan varies depending on a person: kids require constant change of activity, total physical and emotional involvement. When it comes to adults, though, we can spend the entire time talking over all sorts of things, from a pancakes recipe to existential dilemmas regarding human life. You need to ask only, and I will adjust to your priorities.
