About Cassandra
I've been studying computer programming for more than a decade. I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master's in Computational Media, so in additional to having a strong foundation in programming as a craft and I can also tutor for the critical thinking around programming and its implications for humanity.
I have experience as an instructor of an undergraduate class so I have insight into not only what you need to learn, but why you are expected to learn it.

My goal as a tutor is to make myself redundant to your learning. I endeavor not to guide students but to help them guide themselves acting as a professional life raft if they find themselves in deep water.
Generally I will have 2-3 hour sessions with students: each session will begin with identifying the goal of what is to be completed and putting together a plan to reach that goal. I maintain attention on the student's work and noting mistakes in process and identify trouble areas in work process and be present to answer questions and troubleshoot code.
I think I would be most helpful to entry level programming students or students struggling with data-structures and algorithms.
