About Abu Sayeed
I am a Master of Engineering graduate at Deakin University, specializing in Electrical and Renewable Energy. While my career path leads me towards net-zero emissions and sustainable power systems for the future, I have always taken great pleasure in helping people out with their Math skills. People who do not know me well often get surprised when I do arithmetic calculations efficiently in my brain without using the calculator. The techniques I use are actually quite simple in my opinion, and I feel I should spread the ideas a lot more. I take great pleasure in helping fellow peers out with apparently complex mathematical problems, and I feel teaching mathematics is something I would like to keep doing. With university now finished, I am more than willing to help school students out with mathematics and hopefully nurture them towards pursuing higher education in STEM.

Over 6 years of undergraduate and postgraduate studies in engineering, I have been able to gain expertise in understanding mathematical processes, and building a problem solving mindset. I have helped a wide diversity of people with varying levels of confidence understand mathematical concepts throughout my time at university. I have had casual tutoring roles where I have helped school students with secondary level mathematics, but also I have had voluntary experiences of helping university mates understand mathematical concepts prior to exams, or even for helping out in university projects. The experiences have allowed me to get better at understanding what each individual needs to hear, and also tailor my approach based on that. The idea is to make the understanding part as simple as possible, and then dedicating enough time towards practice to familiarize oneself.

Perfect! Abu was an amazing tutor. He dedicated so much of his time to help me with a difficult topic that he hadn't done himself previously. He spent hours learning this topic so he could assist me. Couldn't recommend a tutor more!
