About Kiran

With a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s in Psychology, I bring 20 years of tutoring experience to my students. My online tutoring business has earned hundreds of positive reviews from parents and learners who value both the results and the support I provide.

My background spans from Psychology, Math and Science Education, Occupational Therapy, and Test Preparation, giving me a well-rounded understanding of how students learn best. I regularly pursue continuing education to stay current on effective teaching strategies and to deepen my expertise in every subject I teach.

Over the years, I’ve taught Math and Science in public schools, led group test-prep SAT and ACT courses for private companies, and supported countless students through personalized one-on-one tutoring both in person and online. About the lesson

- Every student has one one-on-one tutoring. Since each student learns differently, each has his/her own specific Goals and I customize a Learning Plan to meet everyone's needs.
- I ensure each student is learning and taking notes by sharing notes in real-time on a shared Google Doc and Whiteboard.
- Each question a student misses is thoroughly reviewed and a strategy is taught for each question type to ensure they learn from their mistakes.
- I use proven Test Taking Strategies and Effective Lesson Plans in order for each student to maximize his/her success.
- I teach SAT, ACT, GRE prep, essay writing, Math, Science and English for grades K -12.
- I teach anxiety-reducing and confidence-building techniques, time-line to goal planning and self-reliance skills
