About the lesson

Indian classical dance is a rich and diverse tradition, encompassing several styles that have evolved over centuries. Here are some of the main Indian classical dance methods:

1. *Bharatanatyam* (South India): Emphasizes intricate footwork, precise gestures, and expressive facial expressions, often depicting stories from Hindu mythology.

These Indian classical dance methods share common elements, such as:

- *Mudras* (hand gestures)
- *Adavus* (footwork patterns)
- *Abhinaya* (facial expressions and storytelling)
- *Tala* (rhythmic cycles)
- *Raaga* (melodic frameworks)
