My method of teaching focuses on the relationship between tutor and student, valuing the reciprocating nature of learning. I prioritise a person-centred centred approach to study, enquiring into how a person learns best. I am experienced in working with young adults and children in play-based learning and art therapy, meaning that I have adapted an accessible and tailored approach to tutoring that is inclusive of people with neurodivergence.
A lesson would usually last 1 hour, although can be extended to 2 hours for more expansive subjects and introductions into critical theory.
I would be looking to teach between the ages of 11-18.
I can provide tutoring on a plethora of contemporary English scholarship, comparative literature and modern poetry.
My specialisms include women in surrealism, post-structural feminism, sound art and kinaesthetic poetry as well as textile history in literature and song.
Qualifications:
MA Glasgow school of art. Art writing.
BA Goldsmiths college. Art history and visual cultures.
BA Central Saint Martins. Textile Design
