About Subho

Hello! I’m Subho Roy, and I’m Thrilled to Welcome You to My Class.
Behind every artifact, broken pottery shard, and ancient monument is a living, breathing human story. My journey with history began not out of a desire to memorize dates, but out of a deep-seated curiosity about who we are and where we come from. That curiosity led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Ancient Indian History and Culture, where I learned to look past the surface of textbooks and dive into the vibrant, complex worlds of our ancestors.
For me, history isn’t a dusty ledger of the dead—it is a mirror to the present.
Why I Teach
I choose to share this knowledge because I want to rescue history from the reputation of being "boring" or "dry."
To Spark Curiosity: I want to help you see that the people of the ancient world were just as ambitious, creative, flawed, and resilient as we are today.
To Build Critical Minds: Teaching history isn't about telling you *what* to think; it’s about equipping you with the tools to analyze evidence, question narratives, and think critically about the world around you.
To Connect Us to Our Roots: Understanding our cultural and historical evolution gives us a profound sense of identity and perspective.
Knowledge multiplies when it’s shared. I don’t just want to be your instructor; I want to be your guide through time, helping you uncover the incredible dramas, philosophies, and triumphs that shaped our civilization. Let’s explore the past together

Teaching Techniques & Methods
Dynamic Storytelling: I reconstruct historical eras through vivid narratives, making ancient civilizations, political intrigues, and cultural shifts come alive.
Interactive Discursive Method: I encourage critical thinking by asking open-ended questions. Instead of lecturing passively, we debate the motivations of historical figures and the impact of their decisions.

The Structure of a Typical Class
Each session is meticulously structured to ensure maximum engagement and retention:
The Recap: A quick, interactive review of the previous lesson to connect the dots forward.
Critical Analysis & Discussion: An open forum where we break down the socio-economic or cultural impacts of the topic.
The Wrap-Up & Sneak Peek: A quick summary of key takeaways and a teaser for the next class to keep curiosity alive.
My Distinguishing Features
What sets me apart is my ability to bridge the gap between rigorous academic history and engaging, relatable content.
Because of my specialized background, I can offer deep, nuanced insights into cultural evolutions, mythology versus historical reality, and archaeological discoveries that standard school textbooks often leave out. I tailor my communication style to the student's wavelength, ensuring that complex historical concepts become easily understandable.
Intended Audience
My classes are highly adaptable and designed for a wide range of learners:
School Students (Middle & High School): Helping them ace their exams by building strong foundational concepts and turning a "boring" subject into their favorite class.
History Enthusiasts & Adults: For anyone who simply wants to understand the rich tapestry of ancient heritage and culture out of pure curiosity.
