Scene Study: Analyzing and performing scenes from plays, films, and television to understand character development, motivation, and relationships.
Improvisation: Encouraging spontaneity and creativity through improv exercises to build confidence and quick thinking.
Audition Preparation: Tailoring sessions to prepare students for specific auditions, including monologue coaching and cold reading techniques.
Voice and Movement: Incorporating voice modulation, accents, and physicality to enhance character portrayal and performance.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
A typical lesson plan is structured yet flexible to accommodate the unique needs of each student:
Warm-Up (10 minutes): Physical and vocal exercises to prepare the body and voice for acting.
Technique Training (20 minutes): Focused work on a specific acting technique or skill, such as improvisation or scene study.
Practical Application (20 minutes): Performing scenes or monologues, followed by constructive feedback and coaching.
