About Jessica

I am a Cetologist in other words my research specialises in marine mammals. Inspired by travelling to Mauritius and Greece where I worked in the field with whales, dolphins and other charismatic marine species. I am currently working as a Marine Mammal Observer & Passive Acoustic Monitoring Operator with the aim to pursue a Ph.D. to further my research on marine megafauna. I would love to share my passion with other marine enthusiasts.

About the lesson

I enjoy getting to know individual students and what motivates them. It is then possible to deliver high-quality education with learning tools tailored to individuals' needs. Lesson length starts at 1hr but can be extended. I have a Teaching Diploma and I have taught undergraduates & postgraduate students when completing marine biology, conservation and media studies dissertations and fieldwork. Furthermore, I have experience working with disabled students as a teaching assistant for Key Stage 2 & 3. My lessons are aimed at all abilities and ages.

Perfect! Jessica was an incredible help with revision techniques and answering exam questions. I felt really confident after each session. The sessions were also fun which is a bonus as she’s a chatty, friendly person so it was lovely to work with her.

I had a privilege to work with Jessica on various projects. Along with other professionals, using the latest abailable knowledge in marine research, physics and technologies we designed a sustainable system of renewable energy for one of the major porth cities in the South Coast of the UK.
