About Emma
Hi, I'm Emma! I have a B.Sc. in Biology and Ph.D. in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Evolution and Marine Biology.
I've taught lecture and laboratory classes in biology, marine biology, animal physiology, molecular biology, and genetics for all ages K-12 and college level. Additionally, I've mentored 40+ undergraduate and high school students in laboratory and tutoring settings.
My research focuses on the genomic and physiological mechanisms that underlie differential stress tolerance in marine invertebrates (e.g., coral reefs, oysters). I've spent extensive time in the field, am an avid scuba diver, and spent many hours at a laboratory bench too.
