About Grace
Hello, I’m Grace, and I’m a BSc Marine Biology graduate from the University of Plymouth in the UK. I’m currently a full-time Marine Biologist and SCUBA Diving Instructor based in Malta, and I also teach Science and English part-time.
I love teaching because I enjoy helping others understand things that once felt difficult. Seeing students gain confidence and improve over time is incredibly rewarding, and I find it motivating to be part of that progress.
As a full-time SCUBA instructor, I have extensive experience teaching students of all ages and levels. As a UK national, I am an excellent choice for anyone who wants to learn English or practise speaking English. With a degree in science, I’m also a great fit if you would like extra tutoring in GCSE to A-level science subjects.

For Science lessons:
I use a structured and student-focused approach, breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand concepts. I link scientific ideas to real-world examples, especially drawing from marine biology to make lessons more interesting and memorable. Lessons include exam-style questions, active recall, and regular practice to reinforce learning. I also focus on exam techniques, helping students understand how to answer questions effectively to achieve higher marks
For English lessons:
I focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes. My goal is to build confidence while improving fluency, pronunciation, and overall communication skills. I use a communicative approach, which means students spend most of the lesson actively speaking. Lessons include real-life conversations, role-plays, vocabulary building, and pronunciation practice. I also tailor each lesson to the student’s goals—whether it’s everyday conversation, travel English, or professional communication. Feedback is always constructive and practical, helping students improve step by step.
Lesson length:
Lessons typically last 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and concentration level.
