About the lesson

We begin by evaluating your current knowledge and objectives A typical lesson includes:

Core Concepts: In-depth study of scales, intervals, and chord construction.
Harmonic Analysis: Breaking down the structure and progression of existing pieces to understand how they work.
Rhythmic Studies: Mastering time signatures, subdivisions, and rhythmic notation.
Compositional Application: Using theoretical rules to build melodies, progressions, and full musical structures.
Why Study Theory:
Understanding music theory allows you to communicate effectively with other professionals and gain total creative control over your work. Rather than following patterns by ear, you will learn the "how" and "why" behind the music, enabling you to make intentional artistic choices.

Who This Is For:
Open to all musicians, from beginners looking for the basics to advanced players wanting to master functional harmony and advanced notation.

Wonderful teacher! I kind of already knew how to sing but because I had never had a formal training I didn't know how to place my voice correctly and use the right muscles. Basically, I sounded good but I had no stamina. Thanks to Maria I can now sing longer without strain. I can also hit new notes. Recommended!

Maria is extraordinary. Thanks to her guidance, I was able to discover my voice and feel part of a choir for the first time. She has a unique sensitivity for teaching: she knows how to listen, how to explain, and how to inspire. Singing with confidence was a gift she made possible.
