About Frannie

Hi, I’m Frannie
I'm a native Mandarin speaker with an international outlook. I’ve been studying, working, and living in the US since 2012, which gave me 15+ years of immersive bilingual experience.

I hold a Master of Fine Arts from Parsons in New York and am currently completing a Master of Teaching in Perth. Beyond academics, I also have 7+ years of professional experience as a UX designer, and now I'm a lead designer at a fast-growing startup.

This mix of creativity, cultural depth, and teaching preparation allows me to create lessons that are supportive, inspiring, and enjoyable. Families and students can feel confident that I bring patience, professionalism, and encouragement to every class.

About the lesson

Learning Mandarin doesn’t have to be boring!

In my lessons, we play language games, read short stories, and practice real conversations so students feel confident and engaged.

Classes are usually 60–90 minutes, mixing speaking, reading, and writing in fun and practical ways.

I’m a native Mandarin speaker but am also fluent in English—with over 15 years of immersive English-speaking experience. Currently studying a Master of Teaching, and I also hold a Master of Fine Arts—so creativity and structure go hand in hand.

My lessons are perfect for primary and secondary school students who want to improve grades and also for language lovers curious about exploring Chinese culture.
