About Mariam

Hi there! I am a language-loving polyglot who loves teaching, currently I am fluent in five languages: English, Chinese, French, Russian and Georgian. What does me being a polyglot give you ? The thing is that when my student is learning a new language he/she constantly encounters new difficulties - this helps me put myself in the student’s shoes (as I have been there before), and thanks to that I manage to find a new effective approach to presenting material for any language, compare grammatical structures in different languages and explain you the core ideas more effectively.

To be honest, the journey learning so many languages was quite tough, as I had no one to guide me. I used to spend hours a day preparing assignements in Chinese and even language-learning tasks not related to my studies at university.

With mistake-making, restarting, persistency and discipline, I understood that learning Chinese doesn't necessarily have to be difficult and boring. Today I am rocking Chinese and even later easily picked up French. That's why I can not wait to share my Chinese language-learning secrets with you.

WIth me you will:
- Start speaking about basic topics in 2-3 months (Depending on the occurrence of meetings)
- Master reading, writing and grammar structures.
- Easily understand Chinese speech (we will practice listening as well)

About the lesson

How my classes go:
* a little disclaimer: for me quality is the most important, that's why each and every students gets attention from me, is free to ask whatever questions they have during or after class + many other bonuses)

1. Lessons are held on the Zoom platform using a textbook and a shared screen where both parties can express their ideas.
2. Class duration 60 minutes (or we can adjust this individually)
3. I use various contemporary books, with me you won't have to purchase for any book or workbook, everything is in PDF and I will send you once you sign up for my classes. We actively do listening, speaking, writing and reading. (Though my students can also bring me their own school/university material so that I will adjust and we will follow their program - this is also OK)
4. My approach is being playful and amusing, my students never get bored and are always excited about out next class. This gives them inspiration to keep mastering the language.
5. Before starting our lessons we will conduct a trial lesson to determine your level, set a -lesson plan, -whole program for you individually.

I have a flexible schedule, learning with games - that's for kids, and for adults I have also very interesting, inspiring and amusing techniques, so I can assure you - you will fall in love with the language I teach.
