About Makhema

Hi! My name is Makhema Motsoetsoana, and I’m currently studying BSc in Mathematical Science (Mathematics & Computer Science) at the University of Johannesburg. Mathematics has always been my passion, and I enjoy helping others see the subject not as something intimidating, but as a skill that can be mastered with the right guidance. Over the years, I’ve developed strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills, which I love to share with my students. As a student myself, I understand the challenges learners face, especially when preparing for exams or tackling difficult topics. That’s why I focus on building confidence, simplifying concepts, and encouraging a positive attitude towards learning. Outside of academics, I enjoy exploring technology, coding, and creative problem-solving. Tutoring allows me to combine my love for Math with my passion for teaching and interacting with people. My goal is simple: to help you improve your marks, build confidence, and discover the power of Mathematics.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to make Mathematics clear, engaging, and practical. I believe every learner can improve in Math if concepts are explained in the right way. Diagnostic approach: I first identify the learner’s strengths and problem areas. Step-by-step explanations: I simplify complex topics into smaller, understandable steps. Practice-based learning: After explaining, I give guided exercises to reinforce understanding. Exam-focused preparation: I share problem-solving strategies, past paper practice, and tips for time management. Flexible teaching style: I adapt my methods depending on whether you prefer visual, practical, or theory-based learning.
