About Sunny
Hi, I'm Seonyeong, and I go by Sunny. I'm a native Korean speaker, born and raised in Korea, where I have spent most of my life. I've always been passionate about learning languages and teaching Korean. During my time in college, where I majored in Korean linguistics and literature, I managed my time not only for my studies but also for engaging in various educational activities with children and teenagers. I worked as an afterschool teaching assistant, teaching elementary school students the basics of broadcasting and reporting. Also, I tutored high school students in Korean and history. I found it very rewarding to see my students grow and develop. More recently, I completed a Korean teaching training program organized by a Korean government-affiliated institution. Through this program, I learned effective methods for teaching Korean as a foreign language. Moving forward, I hope to inspire my students to develop an interest in Korean and experience the joy of learning the language. Thank you!

In my classes, I focus on making learning fun and interactive! We’ll practice real-life conversations, work on pronunciation, and explore Korean culture to understand the language in context. I also use structured lesson materials to help you build a strong foundation step by step.
I believe that every student has different needs when learning a language. Some may want to focus on speaking, while others prefer writing, grammar, or advanced vocabulary. That’s why I always communicate with my students to adjust the lesson style and difficulty to fit their goals. I also love incorporating their interests into our lessons!
If you're a K-pop or K-drama fan, we can chat about that in class! My goal is to help you feel confident speaking Korean while having fun along the way.

Perfect! I had a great time studying with Sunny! My conversation skills were rusty, but Sunny provided helpful guidance and encouragement, quickly making me comfortable speaking.
She's fun, patient, and kind, which made each lesson genuinely enjoyable.
I especially appreciate her taking the time to organize detailed notes and lesson summaries, including vocabulary and grammar points, for me to review afterward.
Highly recommended!See more reviews
