About Mochi

Hi guys, my name is Mochi. I'm a Chinese International media student who graduated from Uni Melbourne. I have 3 years of experience in language exchange and teaching Mandarin to different people, both online and offline. My students and language partners range from 16 to 69 years old, so I’m skilled in communication and understanding your needs. During my master’s studies, I actively participated in Mandarin clubs and language exchange activities aimed at enhancing my presentation skills and gaining a deeper understanding of potential students. As a media student, I am good at talking about deep conversations with advanced learners. In addition, I am an active anime and meme lover which is helpful for me to create a connection with the younger generations.

About the lesson

I have 3 years of experience in language exchange and teaching Mandarin to different people, both online and offline. My students and language partners range from 16 to 69 years old, so I’m skilled in communication and understanding your needs. As a mandarin tutor in uni's mandarin club.

️As a young teacher, I enjoy introducing advanced learners to current slang and popular memes in Chinese culture, which is good for those interested in staying up to date. For our sessions, we can also practice professional communication skills by watching videos, analyzing graphs, reading news together, and brainstorming responses.

For beginners, I prefer to focus on teaching you more characters and proper pronunciation rather than perfecting sentence structure right away. My method is using emoji to let my students to remeber some words.

Each lesson is 1 hour.

Overall, I will adjust my teaching methods and strategies according to your current level. I understand that Mandarin can be challenging, especially in the early stages, but with consistent practice and the right approach, you can achieve your goals!
