About Elizabeth
I want to tutor because I believe in the power of education to change lives. Helping others unlock their potential and build confidence in their abilities is incredibly rewarding. I find joy in simplifying complex concepts, making learning engaging, and seeing the “lightbulb moment” when something clicks for a student. Tutoring allows me to inspire curiosity and growth, empowering students to take control of their own learning journeys. By supporting others in reaching their goals, I not only help them succeed academically but also contribute to their overall personal development and future success.
Further, I feel I understand the different techniques and areas that would help students to achieve high marks.

My lessons usually begin with a recap of the content we have gone over in the weeks before, before moving onto the topic of the week.
I prepare a new powerpoint for each session, which we go through carefully understanding each point. I usually use tools like the whiteboard to go through example questions together.
I believe subject recall is very important to better understand the topics so my lessons are very interactive.
Finally, I tend to finish up my lessons with practice of exam style questions.
The typical length of my lessons is 50 minutes - 1 hour.
I have been tutoring for over a year but have recently switched platforms. I did have a lot of positive feedback from my students before.
I would be tutoring Biology and Chemistry at GCSE and Alevel.
