My teaching style is hands-on and creativity-driven. I equip students with essential knowledge, then guide them as they apply what they’ve learned through writing exercises, practical projects, and open discussion. Lessons include analysing iconic films and reading scripts to better understand structure, character, and story development. A key focus is learning how to write powerful, resonant stories for an African audience—drawing from our cultures, histories, languages, and lived experiences to create work that is authentic and impactful. For students interested in producing, I offer practical insights into real-world production—covering budgeting, scheduling, assembling teams, managing logistics, and navigating funding. You'll gain a clear understanding of how a producer drives a project from page to screen. The learning environment is collaborative, fun, and open—encouraging bold ideas, critical thinking, and creative risk-taking. Whether you’re developing your first script or exploring how to get it made, you’ll leave with tools to grow your voice and your vision.
