Life sciences researcher teaches biology for high school, VCE and university students in Eastern Melbourne

I've known Maddie for the past three years through our postgraduate studies in biosciences. As an international student, I have received a great deal of support from her. One of the things I admire most is her ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and approachable way, making them much easier to understand.
Maddie is a highly motivated, positive, and encouraging person, which I believe is extremely important in helping students build confidence and find their own path in learning. She has taught biology, chemistry, mathematics, and English to high school students as well as undergraduate and coursework master's students for the past 10 years. I have always been impressed by her knowledge, clarity in communication, patience, organisation, and highly detailed preparation for her tutoring sessions. I often joke that if I have children in the future, they will definitely be going to auntie Maddie for tutoring! (I mean it!!!)

Maddie is my colleague at work. She is dependable, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about science. I know that she will be a fantastic tutor and role model for all of her students!

I highly recommend Maddie. We were both PhD students in the same building where I see firsthand her ability to manage her own project, attention to details, and her vast knowledge in Biology. She's also very supportive and a great cheerleader to her colleagues. Having her as a tutor would not just help you improve your grades but also definitely help guide and support your learning journey!
