About Kanae
I have worked with students from Prek- 3rd grade for 7 years now. I started my teaching career in daycare working with students newborn- 5th grade. I then taught special needs preschool for 3 years . I am currently in my second year of teaching 3rd grade. I have students with special needs and ESL students in my classroom therefore I have plenty of experience of meeting all student needs.

I use positive reinforcement to encourage students to complete work and motivate them. I enjoy teaching with interactive and engaging resources/materials. I have a special needs license therefore I have plenty of experience of accommodating student needs as well as reaching the needs of all learners. I believe that learning needs to be hands on and use a variety of materials such as technology, white boards, learning games, hand motions and songs. I feel that this multi sensory approach helps students remember new material.
