About Kayla
Hi, I’m Kayla! As a licensed elementary teacher, I've had the privilege of nurturing and inspiring young minds in grades K-5 as a classroom teacher, teaching assistant, student teacher, as well as a private tutor. These various roles and experiences have provided me with a deep understanding of the diverse needs and learning styles of young students.

As an elementary teacher, I have an understanding of the current best practices, academic standards, strategies, and curriculum used in elementary grades.
I believe that we learn best when we are involved in the process of our learning, which is why I seek to integrate hands-on, interactive activities wherever possible. You will find me using manipulatives, incorporating movement and games wherever possible!
I have experience in grades K-5, although I have spent the most time in K-2 classrooms. I have worked with students from all different backgrounds and ability levels and I enjoy collaborating with parents to set goals and come up with strategies to help their child be successful!
