About Sham
I’m a passionate tutor specialising in A-Level Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science — and I love helping students make sense of the tricky bits and gain real confidence. Having secured strong A grades myself and supported many students through their A-Levels, I know what it takes to turn confusion into clarity. In our lessons we’ll keep things friendly but focused: we’ll unlock the underlying ideas, tackle problems together and build the exam techniques you’ll need. I personalise every session so that it suits you — your pace, your goals, your style. My aim is to create a space where you feel comfortable asking anything (yes, anything!) Whether you’re aiming for a top-grade, prepping for university, or simply wanting to enjoy these subjects (yes: really enjoy them!), I’m here to guide you, support you and cheer you on. My teaching approach focuses on building deep understanding rather than rote memorisation. I break complex A Level concepts into clear, manageable steps and use real-world examples to show how they connect. Lessons often follow structure: 1.Introduce or review the topic with clear explanations and visual aids. 2.Work through example problems together, highlighting common pitfalls and exam techniques. 3.Set progressively challenging questions to reinforce understanding and encourage independent problem-solving. I also focus heavily on exam strategy — helping students recognise question patterns, manage time effectively, and use mark schemes to their advantage. I frequently use past papers, interactive simulations (especially for Physics and Computer Science), and practice coding exercises to make lessons engaging and practical. I adapt my style to each student’s learning pace and personality, using diagnostic assessments early on to identify strengths and gaps. My goal is to build confidence, independence, and genuine interest in the subject.
