About Jia Lu

Hi! I’m Jia Lu, and I’m currently a student too, so I understand how tough it can be to learn a subject—especially one like Chinese. I know the frustration of memorizing characters, structuring essays, and preparing for exams, which is why I want to make learning Chinese easier and more enjoyable for my students. I started teaching because I believe Chinese isn’t just about passing exams—it’s a skill that can be useful in so many ways. Since I’ve been through the same struggles, I know how to break down difficult concepts into simple, practical steps. My goal is to help you build confidence, improve your grades, and maybe even start enjoying the language along the way. With the right approach, learning Chinese doesn’t have to be stressful—it can be something you actually look forward to!

About the lesson

As a young teacher with prior 2 years of experience, I’m able to relate to my students better, understanding the challenges they face in learning Chinese and making lessons more engaging and relevant. I don’t believe in just rote memorization—learning Chinese should be something students can apply in real life, whether in conversations, writing, or exams. I keep lessons interactive with storytelling, discussions, and practice papers, breaking down difficult concepts into simple, relatable ideas. Being closer in age also helps me connect with students on a deeper level, creating a more comfortable and supportive learning environment. My goal is not just to help them improve their grades but also to build their confidence and interest in the language, so they see Chinese as something useful and enjoyable rather than just another subject in school.
