About Kyden
I bring nearly 15 years of tutoring experience across a wide range of subjects, with a strong track record of helping students succeed. Starting in high school, I specialized in turning C, D, and F students into A students in math and English through patient, tailored instruction. Over the years, I’ve taught chess professionally and guided my students to win state titles, and I’ve taught coding to students who went on to earn computer science degrees (some of whom now work at major tech companies). Alongside teaching, I’m a game developer and an AI trainer, contributing code that is now used to train major large language models. My current work focuses on advancing the way state-of-the-art AI models think and process information, and I bring that same passion for problem-solving and clear thinking to my lessons.

I believe the best way to learn coding and game design is by doing, so we focus on hands-on projects from day one. Instead of memorizing syntax, we’ll build real programs and games that become part of your personal portfolio as you grow.
A typical lesson starts with a quick check-in on your goals and progress, followed by practical, guided exercises where I explain concepts as we apply them. This approach keeps lessons engaging and ensures that every new skill has a clear purpose. Along the way, I emphasize problem-solving strategies and how to think like a developer, so you can confidently tackle new challenges on your own.
What sets me apart is my background as an AI trainer and game developer, combined with years of coaching experience. Whether you’re a complete beginner, a hobbyist who wants to create their first game, or an intermediate coder looking to strengthen your skills, I’ll help you gain both the knowledge and the confidence to move forward independently.
