About Ibby
Hi! I’m Ibby, a 4A* A-Level student with 8A* at IGCSE and 3 years of tutoring experience.
Outside of academics, I’m a very active and curious person. I enjoy playing basketball, fishing, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with friends. I think having interests outside of studying is important, and I try to bring that same energy and enthusiasm into my lessons.
As a tutor, I’m friendly, patient and approachable. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and taking their time to understand something properly. My aim is not only to help students achieve better grades, but also to make learning feel enjoyable and build their confidence along the way.
Whether you’re looking to strengthen your fundamentals, prepare for exams or push towards the highest grades, I’ll work with you to make sure each lesson is useful, engaging and suited to your needs.

I believe the best tutoring is not about memorising answers, but about genuinely understanding the subject and building the confidence to tackle unfamiliar questions independently.
As a 4A* A-Level student with 8A* at IGCSE and 3 years of tutoring experience, I use a personalised approach tailored to each student’s strengths, weaknesses and learning style. I break down difficult concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations, then reinforce them through guided practice, exam-style questions and targeted feedback.
For English, I focus on developing strong fundamentals while also teaching students how to structure their answers, analyse questions effectively, use sophisticated language naturally and avoid common exam mistakes. I aim to make lessons engaging and interactive rather than simply lecturing students.
Lessons typically last **1 hour**, although longer sessions can be arranged when appropriate. I primarily teach **IGCSE and secondary-school students**, and I am happy to work with students of different abilities, from those who need to strengthen their foundations to those aiming for the highest grades.
My goal is simple: to make students feel more confident, capable and prepared every time they leave a lesson.
