About Anna

I really enjoy working with and tutoring others, helping them succeed in their exams and subjects, whether it is my peers in GCSEs or younger students needing some more support in a particular area or subject. In the future, I have hopes of attending Oxford University and studying Law and French law, then going on to become a lawyer. To help achieve this, I work hard, study and persevere even when it is hard and does not seem to be working out, and one of the things that helps keep me motivated is helping others and knowing others are often in the same position. We all sometimes find things a little bit difficult, and I want to help ease those struggles.

About the lesson

I teach GCSE students and younger, having tutored English to Year 7 students, having volunteered and worked with students in primary schools and tutored peers during GCSE times for several subjects including English, History and French. I have received nine grade 9s and two grade 8s in my GCSEs and am currently predicted all A*s. I typically offer 1 hour lessons and alter my teaching style to suit the student and their specific needs. I encourage conversations and I believe that bringing interest and passion about the subject to the student is the best way to get them to engage and thus improve their ability. For the subjects I teach, English and French, I like to encourage reading outside of lessons and conversations about topics of interest within the subject as well as classical tutoring.
