About Jeev
I have just finished my A-level exams and am able to help students about to embark upon GCSE / A level exams. I have firmed up my offer to study medicine at Cambridge after receiving offers from all 4 reputed Russell Group Universities (Cambridge, Kings College London, Edinburgh and Manchester).
Achieving an A* with distinction in further maths, 9 A*'s and 2 A's in GCSEs reflects how the methods I used to study have worked. There is no substitution for hard work to put aside a time for revision but my aim is to help students do this in a structured way and eliminate any doubts they may have so that they feel more confident in their ability.
Being the deputy Head Boy for my sixth form allowed me to understand that different people think in different ways and I can adapt my teaching methods to make them unique and personalised to each student. Reading more laterally around the subjects was very helpful especially at A-level. Having done this myself, I want to deliver clear and concise lessons to students to help them understand the information and keep them engaged with the subject so that they understand real-life examples of what is learnt.
Having received all four medical offers from Cambridge and other Russell Group universities I am happy to help others with the application process. For example, knowing where to apply using the student's strengths, the admissions tests (UKCAT, where I came in the top decile for the country, and BMAT) and how to cope with the interviews. Having undertaken both interviews in the MMI (multiple mini interviews) format and the traditional panel-based format, I have experience in both and thus am able to appreciate what they are looking for in each type.
I have achieved distinction in grade 8 LAMDA public speaking so I consider myself to be a confident and approachable individual which I believe is important so that students feel comfortable to ask probing questions which help them learn.
It is my aim to help students achieve their potential and make what can be a very stressful time less daunting, by providing them with the guidance and support that they could benefit from

Having done my exams recently, I am up to date with the latest syllabus for the subjects I tutor and am confident in my ability to help other students. I understand that sometimes there are too many resources spread throughout the internet or sometimes the way a teacher explains things doesn't click. Over the last few years, I have gathered all the relevant information and collated them together in one single place. This work of collating important information and summarising them would waste less time for students scouring the internet and instead they can devote more time for revision to help get them the grades that they deserve.
The way I teach is by breaking information down initially so that students can understand the fundamental ideas required for them to be able to progress to the more challenging types of questions. I consolidate the learnt information by asking questions to check progress and also encourage students to ask probing questions to further their understanding of the subject.
