About Oliver

I am currently in year 12 and have been studying Spanish since year 7. It has always been my favourite subject, and since I've started learning, I've always been interested, not only in the language, but in Spanish culture and history. I want to become a GCSE tutor, because I genuinely think that it would be fun. I want to try to inspire the same interest and passion for Spanish in my students as I have, and to see their skills grow and develop.

About the lesson

Tutoring for pupils from year 7 to 11 for GCSEs or improving performance in class. Average lesson 1 hour but can be flexible. I achieved a grade 9 (A*) on my GCSE Spanish in 2022. Because I took the exam so recently, I am extremely familiar with how the exams work. As I am currently studying A level Spanish, my knowledge of the language is only improving. My methods will include: Use of past papers to help students get used to answering exam questions and to get ahead of the game before others even begin to take mock exams at school. Use of videos and stories to help students to study the language without it being a very boring process and them losing interest.

Perfect! Oliver helps my daughter with her GCSE preparation. He is very caring and understanding. He conducts the lesson effectively by identifying any gaps of learning, and to fulfill those missing knowledge. His lesson is fun and relaxed. He has made my daughter feel more motivated to learn. We are very happy with his tuition and would recommend him to anyone who wants Spanish tuition.

Oliver is more than qualified to teach Spanish; during his GCSE period, he would always be expanding his knowledge on the Spanish language and culture. He would constantly help students who were struggling or didn’t understand the topic. He made countless revision resources for everybody else to use and would always be able to answer questions or translate sentences that no one else could. Because of all this not only did he get an amazing grade but he also helped me and a lot of others get more marks.
