About Osman
I am a recent A-level student who has a strong passion for biology and chemistry. Throughout my studies, I have enjoyed learning about new scientific concepts and how they work as well as finding ways to explain them to peers in a simple and memorable way.
I want to teach as I know how challenging science subjects can be especially if concepts aren’t explained clearly. I have recently experienced the pressure of exams myself, so I understand how crucial it is for students to have someone who can provide support, encouragement and guidance.
I enjoy helping people build confidence and enjoy seeing the moment a difficult concept finally starts making sense. My goal is to make my lessons engaging and tailored to each student's needs, helping them build confidence and develop their understanding as well as helping them apply learned knowledge in an exam.

My lessons focus on making difficult concepts simple, clear and engaging. I believe students learn best when learning the ‘why’ behind concepts rather than mindlessly memorising information. I use explanations and diagrams that break down the concepts and create an image in students' heads to help with their understanding as well as using relevant examples and questions to help improve exam technique and confidence.
Each lesson is adapted to the students' needs as each student will need to strengthen different skills. For example, exam technique, or understanding content etc.
Length of lessons
Typically one hour which is enough time to get through exam questions and through concepts. Some lessons may require an extra half an hour in order to complete a more difficult concept.
Experience and qualifications
Recently completed A-level chemistry and biology so I am up to date with the current course content and exam requirements. As I’ve recently gone through the A-level experience myself, I understand the challenges students face and can offer advice and support to students to help them get through difficult periods.

Aimed at GCSE and A-level students who study biology and chemistry who want to improve their understanding and improve their exam technique as well as becoming more confident with more complex concepts.
