About Grant
I am a dedicated tutor, sports coach, and Human Resource Management professional with a passion for helping young people reach their full potential. Throughout my career, I have worked with schools, communities, and youth development programmes, gaining valuable experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing learners of different abilities. My background has taught me that every student is capable of success when given the right guidance.

I offer private tutoring in Mathematics, English, Science and Afrikaans for primary school learners following both the IEB and CAPS curricula. My goal is to help learners build confidence, strengthen their understanding of core concepts, and develop effective study habits that lead to long-term academic success.
My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and learner-centred. I recognise that every child learns differently, so I adapt each lesson to suit the student's pace, learning style, and individual needs. Rather than focusing only on memorising answers, I help learners understand the reasoning behind concepts, enabling them to apply their knowledge confidently in class and during assessments.
Lessons are interactive and structured, combining explanations, guided practice, problem-solving activities, and regular revision. Students can expect a supportive learning environment where they are encouraged to ask questions, work through challenges, and celebrate their progress. I also provide constructive feedback and practical strategies to improve performance and build confidence.
I am proficient in English and can teach all lessons in English. Where helpful, I can simplify explanations and use practical, real-life examples to make challenging topics easier to understand.
My lessons are ideal for primary school learners. Whether a learner needs help catching up or getting ahead, I am committed to providing personalised support that helps them achieve their full potential.
