About Nicolas
Experience as an actor, director, workshop leader, and theater playwright. Bachelor of Arts with a mention in theater performance from the University of Chile (2016-2020). Winner of the best actor award in the Fetyc held in GAM (2015). Improvement in private workshops: Complementary acting training with the director Antonia Mendía. Participant in the Workcenter of Thomas Richards and Jerzy Grotowski, in his visit to Chile in 2020. Actor in the play Diario de duel of the company NN, winner of the Elephant Prize awarded by the University of Chile. Director of Free Body, investigation of the actor's corporal training as a scenic element, presented at the Interdisciplinary Festival of the University of Chile (2017) Playwright and actor in the play Five issues of relevance, winner of honorable mention at the Víctor Jara Festival of the University of Chile (2017). The teaching method will be adjusted to the needs of the student. Mainly in a practical way, with a minimum of theoretical support, in order to try to do everything in class and not leave work for the student's free hours. The pedagogy used is divided into three fields: Acting, Voice and corporal expression. We will work on each area in a particular way at first, to later combine everything in a final sample. We will have guest teachers in some classes, to broaden the spectrum of what we understand by Theater. Acting is not difficult, we all act as children playing with friends. We just need to experiment and reawaken the inner child.
