About Matilda
I am currently a student at the Uni of Leeds, and I completed my A levels in 2019, English- A, Art- B, History- B. I completed my GCSEs in 2016-2017, English Language-8, English Literature-7, Maths-7, Art - A, History-A, Additional science-A, Further Additional Science-A, Core science- B , Drama-B, French-C. I can teach english for all levels.
For GCSE and A Level I can help with essay prep and essay writing techniques, by planning and going through essays written by thestudent. i can also help find the meanings of complex texts by going through set texts with students. i can also help finding and memorising important quotes in texts for essay writing.
For lower year groups I can help practice reading and literacy by reading books with students and using this to help develop critical thinking skills, as well as helping with creative writing and poetry.
I personally believe the school system can knock the confidence out of young people, so I aim to bring that confidence back by asking the students questions, listening and going in depth in areas a student is struggling with.
