About Lindsey
I am a published and award-winning poet with four years experience as a lecturer and thirteen years experience teaching in colleges and freelance. I can teach for any level, from GCSE to Masters. I’m equally happy teaching non-academic writing. I have experience teaching students who have dyslexia, Aspergers or other learning needs. I’ve previously also taught team adventure activities which was a lot of fun. I like to make all of my lessons or workshops similarly relaxed and pay keen attention to what each student needs in order to achieve success.

My teaching method is bespoke for each student or group. For essay-writing I will usually look at an initial essay and make suggestions about structure, clarification, focus, etc. Creative Writing sessions are usually based around discussions of work, writing exercises and reading. English Literature sessions tend to include essay discussions, close readings of texts and chats about, for example, socio-economic contexts.

Lindsey is a very experienced and committed tutor as well as an extremely accomplished and award-winning poet. I have known her since she coordinated the North West Poets Network. She is creative in her teaching methods, able to bring out the best in people. and she is both personable and patient, generous with her time and with her huge knowledge of literature. I can't recommend her highly enough.
