About Brandon
I'm Brandon, a software engineer and ex-lecturer based in Singapore. I've spent the last 5 years teaching programming, cybersecurity, and AI to students of all ages and levels.
Before going into private tutoring, I was a lecturer running cybersecurity bootcamps and training programs for polytechnic students and adult learners. I've also worked as a software engineer building real production systems, so what I teach comes from actual industry experience, not just textbooks.
I hold OSCP and OSWP certifications in cybersecurity. I teach programming in Python, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and a bunch of other languages. I also teach AI and automation, helping students build real projects using tools like OpenAI and other APIs.
I got into teaching because I remember how frustrating it was to learn this stuff without proper guidance. Most resources out there are either too dry or don't prepare you for real work. I teach the way I wish someone taught me: practical, no fluff, focused on actually getting good.
I teach in English or Mandarin, depending on what works best for you.

I focus on hands-on learning. We don't sit through slides or watch videos together. We write code, build things, break things, and figure out how stuff actually works.
For programming students, that means working on real projects, not textbook exercises. For cybersecurity students, that means solving actual challenges and practicing the methodology you'll need for certs or work. For AI, that means building something useful with real tools.
Lessons are typically 1 to 2 hours depending on what we're working on. I teach students from primary school all the way to working adults. Whether you're a kid picking up coding for the first time, a poly or uni student stuck on a module, or someone switching careers into tech, I adjust to your level.
My goal is to get you to the point where you don't need me anymore.
